  • Meet our Keynote Speaker for the 2017 Fall Conference

The Countdown is on! The District Fall Conference is quickly approaching – November 17-19 and we are gearing up for a fantastic weekend as we are approaching the Gateway to Pathways! The Conference Committee is pleased to announce that Dananjaya Hettiarachchi, World Champion of Public Speaking 2014, will be the keynote speaker for our Fall Conference!

He joins us at Gateway to Pathways from Sri Lanka.

For over a decade, Hettiarachchi helped global organizations build learning interventions that produce high-performance teams as a Human Resource Development Specialist. Halfway through his professional career, Hettiarachchi discovered a passion for being in front of an audience, so he quit his full-time job and embarked on a journey to master the Art and Science of Communication and Public Speaking.

In 2014, after a 10 year effort, Hettiarachchi won the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking; surpassing 33,000 contestants from across the globe.  He was the first non-Native English speaker representing Asia to win the world’s largest Public speaking contest in its 75 year history.

By putting theory into practise, Hettiarachchi combined his deep personal insights in adult learning together with his passion for public speaking, and developed his purpose– to show that Success and Growth is a process, to ignite potential and to kindle a desire to inspire the world by helping each one of us tell our story better. His purpose doesn’t stop there. As a coach, he works with leaders, professionals and teams to craft and deliver compelling stories that create a deep and meaningful connection between them and their audience.
