It is with great sadness that District 99 announces the passing of Distinguished Toastmaster and Past District Director who gave so much of herself to Toastmasters and our district. Rena Weikle DTM was a long time member of the Battlefords Toastmasters Club and served the district in capacities such as Area Director, Division Director, Contest Chair, and District Director.
I had the pleasure to have Rena as part of my team when I served as district director. Rena was always someone whose council I sought and valued. She went on to be program quality director during the first year of the pandemic and subsequently district director. I was proud to serve with and support her as she made her leadership journey.
Rena was like my big sister in Toastmasters. I am sure many of you who knew Rena felt the same way.
Rena’s energy was infectious and will be sorely missed by us all.
